I have been happy to be practicing dentistry in Eau Claire since 1985. My practice philosophy is to provide my patients with the appropriate information for them to make informed decisions on their dental health care. I had great experiences with my dentist and orthodontist growing up, and I want to give my patients the same great memories that I had. I enjoy the daily interaction with patients that allows me to get to know them very well, provide for their dental care, and get to know them as friends. The satisfaction I get from those relationships is really the most rewarding part of being a dentist.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Science — South Dakota State University, 1981
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery — University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, 1985
I am very interested in the technical aspects of dentistry and enjoy the different challenges I am faced with for each patient’s successful treatment outcomes. I find it stimulating to keep up-to-date with current trends and technology, so I continue my education, most prominently through the L.D. Pankey Institute.
- American Dental Association
- Wisconsin Dental Association
- Seattle Study Club

Outside the Office
I am a native of Mobridge, SD, and have lived in Eau Claire since 1985. My wife, Trisha and I have four children, Nate, Lauren, Kayla, and Jake. I’ve had a lot of fun in the past few years cycling, cross-country skiing, and playing golf. We have a dog who serves as my occasional hunting partner. Of course, spending time with my family is the most important thing in my life. Watching my children grow and get involved with many activities has been great and keeps us pretty busy as well.
